King County was created in 1852 from Thurston County.
Birth and death records from 1907 to the present can be obtained from the Washington State Department of Health.
The King County Records and Elections Secretary has birth, marriage, death, and land records starting in 1853.
The King County Clerk Superior Court has divorce records, probate records starting in 1854, and court records starting in 1864.
