KNEIPP SARUTANTION

For the Cure of Acute and Chronic Diseases

2455-2467 FIRST STREET, SAN DIEGO, CAL.

T HIS institution is strictly a Kneipp Sanitarium. All treatments are ad- ministered in exact accordance with the precepts of Kneipp himself. Our marvelous success in curing the sick has been achieved through means of long experience, coupled with the knowledge of how to properly admin- ister the various treatments, and by strictly confining ourselves to the Kneipp method of treatment. Numberless sufferers have come to us afflicted with very critical diseases which had been pronounced incurable by others. But with our method of treatment, we have obtained the most astonishing results, restoring them to perfect health. We hold in our possession numerous testimonials sub- stantiating the above statement - testimonials freely tendered to us by the best people in the day and elsewhere.

All suff ers desiring relief, who are not familiar with the Kneipp treat- ment as is practiund by us are requested to call, and we will furnish them convinc- ing proofs that any and all diseases, whether acute or of long standing, will yield to our system of using the Kneipp method of treatment. We charge nothing for consultation. Pamphlets furnished upon request.

Remember, all diseases cured without drugs or operation.

INTRODUCTORY

We herewith present the sixth volume of the San Diego City and County Directory.

We have used all our endeavors, backed by many years of experience to make this directory complete and as free from errors and omissions as is possible. A publication of this nature entirely free from mistakes and omissions never was and never will be, but we have conscientiously and persistently labored to reduce such to a minimum.

The length of the line in the information concerning San Diego proper has been increased five ems, thus saving many lines being turned to insert the name and address. The page has also been in- creased in size by three lines over our previous issue, and with this additional space we have added an even twenty-four pages of names, showing conclusively our growth in population during the past year.

Our estimate at this date gives a total of 45,000 persons resid- ing within the city limits.

It is most gratifying also to give the following table of statis- tics which shows even stronger than words the rapid growth of our city, commercially and otherwise, during the past seven years, and particularly during the past three :

*To date.

The towns of National City, Escondido, Oceanside, El Cajon, etc., have been thoroughly canvassed and the information may be relied upon as being up-to-date.

We have endeavored to keep step with the growth and progress of the City, and we believe the present volume will be found to con- tain all the necessary features of a modern up-to-date work of this kind. By our system of exchange with other cities, the San Diego Directory will find a place in the Directory Libraries of all the prin- cipal cities of the United States and Canada and several European cities.

For the liberal patronage bestowed on this work and also for courtesies extended to our enumerators and solicitors during its publication, our cordial acknowledgments are returned.

September 21st, 1908.
