FORESTERS OF AMERICA.
The objects of this order are to unite fraternally all white males of good character between the ages of 18 and 50 years, to aid its sick members, bury its dead, give relief to their widows and orphans, to find em- ployment for unemployed members, and all other benevolent purposes. There are one hundred and seventy Courts in this State, with a membership of 20,000, also auxiliaries, which are known as Knights of Sherwood Forest, Companions of the Forest of of America and Junior Courts.
The Supreme Head of the Order is known as the Supreme Court, and was organized in Minneapolis on August 15, 1889, they having on that day seceded from the Ancient Order of Foresters, whose Supreme Head is in England. The Supreme Court meets biennially and the next session will be held in San Francisco, California, on the last Tuesday in August, 1915.
The Supreme Court comprises 1,865 Courts, with a total membership in the United States of 241,399 members.
