FORESTERS OF AMERICA,
The objects of this order are to unite fraternally all white males of good char- acter between the ages of 18 and 50 years, to aid its sick members, bury its dead, give relief to their widows and orphans, to find employment for unemployed mem- bers, and all other benevolent purposes. There are one hundrd and fifty Courts in this State, with a membership of 20,000. also auxiliaries, which are known as Knights of Sherwood Forest, Companions of the Forest of America and Junior Courts.
The Supreme Head of the Order is known as the Supreme Court, and was organized in Minneapolis on August 15, 1889, they having on that day seceded from the Ancient Order of Foresters, whose Supreme Head is in England. The Supreme Court meets biennially and the next session will be held in Santa Cruz, California, on the first Tuesday in May, 1918.
The Supreme Court comprises 1,865 Courts, with a total membership in the United States of 241,399 members.
