No formal examinations as entrance requirements-an opportunity for those who must rise by their own industry. Faculty of experienced men of sound training, character and experience.
This college offers a chance to the young man who cannot spend four years in university before "getting on the pay roll." It means a saving of time and money and many are taking advantage of the splendid facilities offered here.

Polytechnic Junior College
13TH AND MADISON STREETS, OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA
FOR YOUNG MEN AND YOUNG WOMEN
Organized in August, 1933, at the request of leading educators and Eastbay citizens who feel the need of a Junior College in Oakland. While this is a private school, it has, nevertheless, made a very low rate of tuition to its students. The College has just closed its first semester, which has enrolled a fine group of young men and women who are enthusiastic and are now enrolling for the second term.
Smaller Classes Best
It is now believed by many leading school men that the close personal contact made possible in the smaller elasses in the smaller sehool makes for better results and espe- cially for those young people who wish to go to university and whose high school credits do not meet university requirements.
Both the University of California and Stanford require an average of "C" in order to secure eredit for advanced standing and our schedule of work is designed to meet these requirements for the first two years. Students may then be transferred to the Junior year of these univer- sities.
Faculty
Members of the Polytechnic Faculty were recommended to us by university professors and are experienced in- struetors of high standing in Junior College work. They are following closely university requirements in freshman and sophomore courses, and students may depend upon real college training in their work here.
Low Cost Policy
It was definitely decided at the opening of this college that a low rate of tuition should be offered. After a care- ful estimate of costs the tuition rate was fixed at-
$100 for the full semester-412 months. $200 for the full year of 9 months.
$ 25 per month if paid monthly. No extra fees for laboratory.
This makes it possible for many to attend who cannot afford an expensive tuition.
Parents
Parents who have sons and daughters they wish to have a college education are invited to visit this school and make a personal investigation. We have found that parents are pleased with the personal interest and indi- vidual help we are giving students of this college and we shall continue to make high scholarship paramount.
