To turn in an alarm from a fire alarm box, break the glass in the small box on the post, take out the key and put it in the large box and open the door. You will find a hook inside, pull down strong and let go quick. That is all that is necessary.
To send in an alarm by telephone, call up central, tell the operator that there is a fire, giving street and number. The operator will notify fire depart- ment. Have some one stand out in front of premises so as to inform the firemen where the fire is located.
