INTRODUCTORY
San Diego, the County Seat of San Diego County, is located on San Diego Bay, 126 miles south of Los Angeles, and 14 miles north of the International Boundary Line. Latitude 32 degrees, 41 minutes, 58 seconds North, Longitude 117 degrees, 13 minutes, 22 seconds West. The Climatic conditions are almost ideal. This favorable situation is brought about through the difference in at- mospheric pressure between the hot interior valleys and the Pa- cific Ocean. The result gives San Diego cool uniform days and nights, free from extremes or what is really the Summer tempera- ture of the Pacific Ocean.
The Bay of San Diego has an area of 22 square miles, is com- pletely land locked and has a depth of 39 feet over the bar at low water.
