STAMFORD PROBATE RECORDS.
Abstract of Stamford Probate Records from the creation of that Probate Court on the 9th day of May, 1728, to the 1st day of January, 1803, which includes the Towns of Greenwich, hidge- field and Stamford.
The Town of Stamford included during part of the above period the Town of Darien and part of the Town of New Canaan.
In May, 1744, a Probate Court for the Towns of Danbury, Newton and New Fairfield was created, and the Town of Ridgefield was added in October, 1746.
Prior to the creation of the above Probate Courts the probate records for the entire County of Fairfield are to be found at the Probate Court at Fairfield.
