Register of Marriages, Births and Death in families of first settlers in Simsbury, Ct. complied chiefly from an old manus- cript book, in possession of James Loomis, Esq. of Windsor (1845) made out May 18, 1674 from an older book then stated to be full, to which additions were made , during a few years after 1674. These books unquestionably contain records kept of these events, by the several clergymen officiating at Windsor, during their occurrence. The one from which extracts are made in mutilated and in some places illegible. It does not, of course contain births of children born before their parents removed to Windsor, nor generally, after they settled in Simsbury. Some of following matter is from state records and town records of Windsor and Simsbury.
