The streets are divided east and west by Palafox and north and south by Garden. The following are the streets run- ning east and west with Palafox as the dividing line: Lau- rel, Bay, Oak, Sycamore, Juniper, Hickory, Cypress, Pine, Magnolia, Cedar, Main, Sarragossa, Government, Intenden- cia, Romana, Garden, Chase, Gregory, Wright, Belmont, La- Rua, Jackson, Gadsden, Cervantes, Strong, DeSota, Gonza- lez, Brainerd, Lloyd, Lee, Blount, Moreno, Mallory, Avery, Sierra, Hernandez, Jordan, Maxwell, Bobe, Job, Scott, Hat- ton and Cross. From Belmont to Cross, inclusive, names run east only to 8th avenue; from 8th avenue to city limits these streets merge into 1st to 24th streets.
Those streets running north and south, with Garden as the dividing line,are Tarragonna, Alcaniz, Florida Blanca, Cevallos, 9th to 20th avenues. The foregoing lying east of Palafox.
The following are west of Palafox, viz : Bayl en, Spring Barcelona, Reus, Devilliers, Coyle, Donelson, Clubbs, (run- ning north from the water only to Romana, then merging into Olivia.) From Olivia west to limits the streets running north and south are B to Q streets ; and those running east and west from Olivia, commencing at water front, are w. Cypress, w. Pine, McLellan, Alston, w. Main, w. Sarragossa, w. Intendencia, w. Romana, Chipley, w. Garden, w. Chase, w.
