Serviceable ; always dry, a principle obtained only by years of study and experiment.
Has no faults, as hundreds of my customers will testify.
Always ready for use; no leaking or dripping from ice in storage room to cause delay and loss.
Never gets out of order, and will last a life time.
No sweating, musty or foul odors, but always sweet, cold and dry.
ECONOMY
It uses less ice than any other refrigerator made, an item worthy of consideration.
Never trust to inexperience, unless you have money to burn. I have years of experience and can guarantee satisfaction.

PREFACE.
In presenting this, the twenty-second volume of the Atlanta City Directory, the publishers have continued their endeavor to present each year a more complete and accurate record of the city of Atlanta, her growth, her business, and her institutions, her inhabitants and their employments. After more than usual care in eliminating floaters and persons not identified with the city and therefore not entitled to representation in such a work, the 1898 Directory contains 35,393 names, representing a population in the city and immediately surrounding suburbs of 120,338. In common with all directory experience great difficulty is found with the varied ways in which proper names are spelled, each being a law unto himself.
We instruct our canvassers to inquire of each person how his name should be spelled, but in spite of the utmost care inaccuracies will occur through the similarity of the sound of different letters; this is especially so when initials only are given; hence our desire to secure full names.
The Business Directory, a feature of all Atlanta City Directories for years past, contains classified lists of all professional and business men and firms, dealers in various commodities and their location. This feature is usually bound and sold as a separate work, but in Atlanta it has been given for good measure with the regular alphabetical list of names.
In the miscellaneous department will be found information concern- ing courts, schools, county and municipal institutions, public and private, of all sorts of use and interest to the stranger and the citizen alike.
V. V. BULLOCK, Manager.
