It should be mentioned that Edward Dorr Tracy, of Ala- bama, a native Georgian, was promoted to grade of brigadier- general, P. A. C. S., in 1$62, his brigade consisting of the 20th, 23d, 30th, 31st and 46th lAabama regiments of infantry, Steven- son's Division, Army of Tennessee. Died near Port Gibson, Miss., May 1, 1563.
