COURTS.


United States Court of the South- ern District of Iowa-Thed United States is divided into nine judicial circuits, in each of which district court is held for each distriot within each circuit.


The state of Iowa is divided into two judicial districts. The courts for the southern district are held in dis- trict court rooms U. S. government building at Des Moines second Tues- day in May and third Tuesday in No- vember. At Council Bluffghi second Tuesday in March and third Tuesday in September. At Keokuk, second Tuesday in April and third Tuesday in October. At Creston fourth Tues- day in March and first Tuesday in November. At Davenportwy fourth Tuesday in April and first Tuesday in 'October. . At Ottumwa first Monday after fourth Tuesday in March and first Monday after third Tuesday in . October. Both districts are attached to the Eighth judicial circuit, which comprises the states of Minnesota, North and South Dakota, Nebraska, Towa, Missouri, Colorado, Arkansas,


Kansas, Wyoming, Oklahoma, Utah, and New Mexico.


Justice Willis Vandeventer has been alloted to the Eighth judicial circuit, and Hon. Walter H. Sanborn, Hon. Wm. C. Hook, Hon. Elmer B. Adams, Hon. Walter I. Smith are cir- cuit judges of said court. The courts for the southern districts are organ- ized as follows.
