SECOND INFANTRY


The non-veterans of this regiment were mustered out at the expiration of their term of service in April, May and June, 1864. The veterans and recruits were consolidated into six companies, known as the Second Vet- eran Infantry. The Second Veteran Infantry was consolidated, to make a full regiment, with the Third Veteran Infantry, November 8, 1864, and was mustered out at Louisville, Kentucky, July 12, 1865.
