NOTES

FIFTIETH ANNIVERSARY OF THE CLASS OF 1923

Together we're held with a bond That no money can buy. It's the days we spent together In the Halls of Frankfort High.

We felt then, as we've always felt, By all the Powers that Be, There never, never was a class To compare with "Twenty-three".

And we feel now, as we felt then, It was something to celebrate, When we left those Sacred Halls And finally did graduate.

Then we faced the bright future Filled with ambitions fine. To each of us, there was no doubt, Fifty years was a long, long time.

So with eagerness we all went forth, Faced the cold world and its strife; Each just as great as the other In their own pattern of life.

In the long, long following days That came after, We have all found the meaning Of sorrow and laughter.

The years have gone by, as years must do, About it we fuss and fret; The passage has made us older, Something we can not forget.

So when we meet our Maker, He asks, "Did you pass the test?" We might say, "We don't know, Lord; But Lord, we have done our best." BY HUGH FISHER

Source - Class of 1925 Cauldron Original building built in 1892 Destroyed by fire, February 27, 1922

The work of excavating the ruins and renewing the walls was begun in early spring of 1925.

A virtually exact replica of the beautiful Norman stone edifice arose from the ashes, completely modernized and equipped. It is still a very functional structure today.
