$1 Pursuant No notice previously & publickly given by James Chute a regular ordained minister of the Presbytery of Columbus Ohio a number of persons members of the Freshy- 1 terian church from different sections of the country, in regular standing met for the purpose of being regularly organized into a Presbyterian Churche_ -
The meeting was opened by singing reading the Scriptures & prayer by the Rv- James Chute The following persons presented their. Certificates from other churches ande were received as members of the first Presbyterian church of CFort Wayne: Smallwoode Noel Nancy M. C. Noch. Sally & Dance
Nancy Barnett Ann Griggs John Mc Intosh Ann Gierner. il
After receiving the certificate of the above mentioned persons they were for- mally recognized as the first Presby- terian church of Cfortwayne. The members proceeded to the Election of two ruling Elders. whereupon it was found that Mr Smallwood Noel and Mor John MCIntosh were unanimously choses.
1831 July 2d After sermon by the Rev James Chute Mr Smalwood Noel Omr John Mantosh who hade been duly elected ruling Elders the day previous were det apart for that office by Ordination. After the Ordination the Session! we're constituted with prayer by the thev. Mr Chute who was invited to act as moderator of Sepion. Smalwood roel was chosen clerk of Sepion.
