There is no date in the Bible showing when it wes printed and the pages are old, yellowed, loose and water-stained.
Included in the Dible were several pieces of extra material and the family record between the Old and New Testament give evidence that the Dible was formerly in the possession of the Merrick family.

The date may be 1844 instead of 136. The figures are hard to decipher, but I believe that it is 1005.
There was also included in the Bible a handwritten sheet of paper evidently a letter from Ledis Mosich to Lor forily dated July the 22 1042: "Socr Tomily this morbo the only scrap that you can find (?) to I have no-lested zory things of importance O seck and serve God. The title page of the Janes family Dible is completely missing and the Bible itself is falling apart. The New Testament pace is as follows: H. & E. Phinney's stero- type edition. The New Testament of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, translated out of the original Greek, and with the former translations diligently compared and revised. Cooperstown, N. Y. Sterotyped, printed and published by H. and E. Phinney, and sold by then at their book-store and by the booksellers generally in the United States. 1829. The FAMILY RECORD paces are just before the Apocryphe and were very difficult to decipher since they seem to be in several different hands. Under MARRIAGES is the following: (All under the first column) Elijah Janes was married to Miss Polly

(last numeral too dim to be sure). The three starred names (I used the asterik) are in a little darker ink and I suggest that the second column of births had been blank and these two . names were inserted at a later date. Note that John S Buel was repeated at the end of the column and presumably there was not enough room in the blank portion of the second column to com- plete the record of John S Buel. Hannah A Buel Vincent seems to fit after the birth of George C Buel in 1811.

I would suggest that these Vincent names and dates were copied into the original Buel Bible from another Bible or sheet of paper thus the error in listing the birth of Jane Vincent. The copying was probably doze after the marriage of Hannah A Fuel and Reed Vincent. The last page of the Fezily Record is for Desthis. In faded ink Ilother Buell dide Herch the 13th 1850.
