Commercial Calculations.
A thorough knowledge of Business Computations, including all the higher, as well as the ordinary Branches, is imparted to the Student, according to the most accurate and rapid methods. Interest, Discount, Exchange, Equation of Payments, &c.
Mercantile Correspondence.
Regular exercises are given in the art of writing Business Forms and Business Letters, as connected with the different Branches of Trade, including Bills cf Exchange, Notes, Bills, Invoices, Accounts Current, Sales, &c.
Commercial Lectures.
Daily Lectures are given on Commercial Law, by the Principal, and others of acknowledged ability, together with the general laws of Trade, including the laws of Exchange, the laws and history of Money, Banking, Commerce, &c. These Lectures, a feature first introduced by the Principal of the Institution are deemed of the first importance to the Mercantile Student.
TERMS OF INSTRUCTION.
Terms for a Full Course, including Penmanship, $40; terms for Partial Course, including Penmanship, $25.
For a Course of Thirty Lessons in Penmanship, $6, in which time the Student may attain a good Business Hand.
As Students are instructed separately, Applicants may enter at any time, and the term of attendance is unlimited.
Each Studeut, on Graduating, receives a Diploma without extra charge.
Board may be obtained at from $2 50 to $3 00 per week. Strangers on entering the Institu- tion will be assisted to suitable Boarding Houses.
The Principal, from his extensive business acquaintance, is enabled to procure Graduates desirable Situations. A large number of young men in business in this city have through him obtained Places with salaries varying from $500 to $1,500 per year.
