EARLHAM&COLLEGE.


During the last two years two new college buildings have been completed at a cost of 580,000. These are large, commedions, and thoroughly modern in arrangement and equipment. The college now occupies four building- in all, and its campus is one of the finest in the West.


Additional departments of study have been created and placed under charge of scholarly specialists. The Faculty consists of eighteen instructors.


Six regular College Courses, of four years each, are provided.

ELECTIVE STUDIES.


The Chemical Laboratory in Parry Hall isequipped in the most approved manner for both qualitative and quantita- tive analysis, and accommodates forty-four (14) students at the tables at one tine. Two full years' work may be taken in Chemistry.

The Biological Laboratory in Lindley Hall his a large outit of Bausch and Lomb compound microscopes and ac- cessory apparatus. students who desire to pursue Biology as a specialty are offered four terms' work in the Labor tory.

In the Department of Physics, special attention is given to Laboratory work in Bectrichy. The Cabinetsgof Geology, Mineralogy, Botany. Arch Pology. and Natural History, are already among the best in the country, and are constantly growing. They furnish superior opportun- ities for work in those department ..


Good working Libraries are provided for all departments of the College.


AAn Observatory affords excellent fa- «ilities for the practical study of Astronomy.


Students in Surveying have extensive practice with instruments in the field.


The courses of study in Ancient and Modern Languages are liberal and thorough. Students may have three years' work in German, two years in French, and one year in Anglo-Saxon. The work in Greek and Latin is equivalent to that of- fered in the best college. in the country.


Eleven terms' work is provided in His- tory, Political Economy and the Science of Government. Provision is made for seven terms in English Litera- ture. Rhetorie, and Lozic.


A regular graded drill in Elocution runs through six terms. No college in the country has better Liferary Socie- ties. Their hails are large and elegantly furnished.


A special department of Biblical Ine struction, extending through two years. offers special indurement to young men and women who are called to the ministry, Missionaries, and Bible teachers.


A Business Department offers first-class practical work in Book.keeping, Penmanship, German, Short-hand, aud Type-writing.


The departments of Painting, Drawing, and Music are provided with large. well-furnished rooms and thor- oughly competent instrucau ..


A two years' Preparatory Course fits students for Earthmaud other colleges. The English Academy Course offers special advantages to students who are preparing to teach in poesie schools.
