The schools are in a flourishing condition. About 2.500 child- ren were enrolled during the present year. The High affords instruction in the Higher Mathematics, Natural Sciences, English Literature, Latin, Greek, French, German, Drawing and Paint- ing. About 60 pupils have graduated from this school during the last six years. The Training School has educated about 35 teachers, most of whom are now engaged in teaching in the schools of the city.

MeNiece ; Secretary, F. S. Shurick; Treasurer, Chas. McCulloch ; Directors, S. C. Evans, S. B. Bond, A. C. Trentman, A. Waring, S. Bash, S. Thanhouser and John Orff; Committee on Arbitration, W. S. Edsall, J. R. Prentiss, J. M. Coombs, John Hough, O. P. Morgan ; Committee on Appeals, J. K. Edgerton, C. D. Bond, J. D. Nuttman, A. C. Huestis, Henry Olds. C. Tresselt ; Committee on Railroads. C .; E. Gorham, J. L. Williams, W. W. Worthington, W. F. Ray, H. J. Rudisill. Quarterly meetings of the Association shall be held on the third Tuesdays of January, April, July and October.
