Thia well known and juatly popular studio was established in Warsaw in 1900 by G. E. Houser, the present pro- prietor. It is located at 2121% South Buffalo street, and is undoubtedly the most modern, most up-to-date studio in the county.


Mr. Houser is an artist whose work possesses a distinctive quality, and reflects the highest degree of photo- graphic development. His portrait work commands especial attention be- cause of pose, finish and mountings. and his reputation is conceded not only at home, but in contests for awarda for meritorioua work, has been sustained and acknowledged by the heat judges. His work in 1905, shown at the State Photographic As- sociation at Winona Lake, received the highest rating and was awarded the Gold Badge. The same year he received a certificate of merit from the Daguerre Memorial. In 1905 the National Convention of Photogra- phers, which met in Boston, Mass .. issued him an award of merit. A certificate of merit from the Art Se. Jon, Winona Lake, 1906, and a gold award from Winona Lake in 1909, at- test beyond question how high, com- petent judges and world-wide artists regarded Mr. Houser's exhibits.


Mr. Houser is a member of and Past President of Indiana State Asso- ciation of Photographers. Is one of the trustees of the Photographers' Buliding at Winona. His work la not limited to portraits, but he makes


landscape views, public buildings, private homes and family groups, an- wwering calla promptly for such work to any part of the county. In addi- tion Mr. Houser maintains a com- plete picture framing department, where he is able to furnish the latest and prettiest designs in frames. Much of the photographic work shown in this book is from the Houser Stu- dio. Mr. Houser is one of our public spirited, progressive citizens, and popular in all sections of the county.
