REDSTONE BROTHERS' ECLIPSE MORTICING MACHINE !!

This machine is, in every particular, perfectly ad- justable to any size mortice, will cut and clean the mortice by a single operation, self-feeding to any depth, length, or width required for ordinary purposes.

The time required to cut and clean mortices by hand is from three to ten seconds, a long mortice being cut in the same time as a short one.

When the machine is adjusted, the operation is simply turning by either crank or pulley. Will cut a great variety of compound mortices, giving any de- sired curve or angle to the mortice.

The principle of operating this machine is entirely new. All the motion of the tools are effected by di- rect action from the power wheel without the use of springs or gearing, and is a complete machine for all kinds of morticing.

By a simple adjustment the machine will make any required mortice for letting castings into bed posts to receive the rails, also forming a deep mortice in the centre at the same time, to receive the pins in the ends of the rails.

CHEAP & NEW SUGAR MILLS, FEED CUTTERS, AND SAW MILLS.

New Sugar Mills to Suit the Times !!

In view of our present difficulties, it will be found necessary for a greater amount of Sorghum cane to be raised to supply the wants of the people in this section.

The attention of Farmers is therefore called to a Sugar Mill, manufac- tured only by Redstone, Brother & Co., to sell at 15 dollars, and may be operated by hand or horse power.

Those desiring one of these Mills will please send in their orders, that they may be supplied promptly. Also, a

STRAW AND FEED CUTTER,

Entirely different from any heretofore made, cheaper and more durable than any self-feeding Straw and Feed Cutter ever manufactured. We are also manufacturing

PORTABLE SAW MILLS,

At from $20 to $50, with which farmers can manufacture their own lum- ber. The same Machine being used for cross-cutting and ripping out lum- ber.

REFERENCES.

INDIANAPOLIS, March 21, 1861.

This is to certify that we are now using Messrs. Redstone, Brother & Co.'s Cross-Cutting Saw Machine, and find that it will accomplish easily an equal amount of work with less than one-fifth of the power necessary to run a cir- cular saw which would be large enough to do the same kind of work, and we take pleasure in recommending it to those who have use for the cross-cut saw, as a machine easily adapted to hand or other motive power, upon the farm or in the workshop.

OSGOOD, SMITH & CO. BROOKFIELD, March 14, 1861.

Messrs. REDSTONE, BRO. & Co .:

We are well pleased with the operation of the Sawing Machine we got from you. It is certainly ahead of anything we have ever seen for cross- cutting timber. It cuts very rapid, and as true as a straight-edge, and with less power than any other machine that we have ever seen run that will do near the amount of work, and seems very durable.

MORGAN & MEANS.

The right to make all the above Machines belongs to REDSTONE, BRO. & Co., and they can only be had from their manufactory, opposite the Cin- cinnati Freight Depot, Indianapolis.

REDSTONE, BRO. & CO.
