BULL'S

Compound Concentrated Fluid Extract

SARSAPARILLA,

Is unsurpassed in the cure of Scrofula or King's Evil, Rheu- matism, obstinate, Cutaneous Eruptions, Pimples or Pustules on the face, Blotches, Biles, Chronic Sore Eyes, Ring.Worm, Tetter, Scald Head, Cancer, enlargement and pain in the Bones and Joints, stubborn Ulcers, Syphilitic Afflictions, Jaun- " dice, Liver Complaint, diseases arising from an injudicious ude of mercury, and from exposure and imprudence in life, and In- cipient Consumption. In short, it is a valuable remedy in Chronic Diseases of the Stomach and Digestive Organs, Dis. pepsia, General Debility, and all kinds of Chronic Diseases, arising from a derangement of the system and impurities of the Blood. It is invaluable as a cleansing Spring Medicine."

-

This preparation not only contains the highly concentrated virtues of the Sarsaparilla, but of several of the most safe, effi. cient medical agents in the Materia Medica, for the cure of the above diseases.

The following testimonials of its good effects are offered to the public:

LOUISVILLE, March 7, 1848.

MR. JOHN BULL-DEAR SIR: I must ever entertain the liveliest feelings of gratitude to you, for the incredible benefit aud happy relief given me by your wonderful Compound Ex- tract of Sarsaparilla. I do not write you this for publication, unless you may put it to such purposes; but write it to you simply to express a feeling of kindness to you, with which my bosom will, until the day of my death, remain full. The long and afflicting Rheumatism which beset me for years, and which the simple followers of the healing art term Chronic Rheuma. tism, was a thousand times worse than any thing else to which flesh is heir. The neuralgic pains and the general debility which ensued therefrom, compelled me to give up action, quit my business, a pleasure and a profit to me-and the mental pain arising from my bodily infirmity rendered me the most

348

LOUISVILLE ANNUAL ADVERTISER.

-

miserable of all my Creator's handiwork. The most learned of our physicians in my judgment, do not know the philosophy of this disease, but your preparation of Sarsaparilla seemed to arrest my pains, and stop the ravages of disease immediately; it has made a cure in my case, and I believe will in all cases, . for nothing else could have relieved me; you certainly should take great credit to yourself as the author of this medicine, for the appellation of quackery cannot apply to it; it answers the end for which it is given, and will effect a cure in Rheumatism, at any stage whatever of that disease. I shall be pleased to serve you at any time, in any way, and can never stop thank- ing yon for the benefit I have received at your hands, and I would go a journey of twenty miles to see one afflicted with Rheumatism as I was, to, give him a bottle of your medicine, for I know it would give relief, and plant a rose where tears a thorn. Ever yours, at command,

.

CHARLES W. SMITH.

-

From Dr. J. M. Moore.

MR. J. BULL: I have no hesitation in saying that I believe your Sarsaparilla to be the best article ever manufactured for the cure of Scrofula, Syphilis, and many other Cutaneous and Glandular Affections, having used it with entire success in a number of the above cases.

3 JAMES M. MOORE, M. D.

Louisville, Dec. 26, 1847.

Thin medicine is daily grapelling with disease through the Western country, restoring to blooming health and youthful vigor, the sick and afflicted- nay, those that are grevously tor- mented. " Certificates are teeming from all directions, from men of truth and high moral standing, placing it, from its in- trinsic worth, the very best of all remedios ever before the public.
