These grounds are situated about two miles north of the court house, on the Charlestown road, and on the line of the Louisville, New Albany & Chicago Railroad. They comprise an ares of about seventy-four acres, and contain one of the best mile tracks in America. The grounds are supplied with a good hotel, a dance hall 150 by 50, together with all necessary sta-' bles, sheds and pens for live stuck.

DOMESTIC POSTAGE RATES.
FIRST CLASS-Letters, all written matter and all matter sealed or fastened to preclude examination, 2 cents esch ounce or fraotion.
SECOND CLASS-Newspapers and periodicals sent by publishers or news agents, I cent each pound or Fraction. When sent by others, 1 cent for every four ounces or fraction. . THIRD CLASS-Printed matter, books, chromos, engrav- ings, music, photographs, all reproductions on paper, except hand-writing and type-writing, unsealed, 1 cent each two ounces or fraction. Limit of weight four pounds, except for. single books.
FOURTH CLASS-All matter not included in above, un- .. sealed, 1 cent for each ounce or fraction. Limit of weight four pounds.
A package, whether sealed or unsealed, containing writing, subjects it to letter postage.

UNMAILABLE MATTER.
Animals, reptiles, alive or dead (not stuffed), insects, except a queen bee when safely secured, are excluded from the mails. Also liquids, poisons, explosives or inflammable articles, no matter how carefully wrapped, are excluded.
REGISTERED LETTERS.
Two letters and valuable packages may be registered to any post office in the United States on payment of a fee of 10 cents and regular postage.

CANADIAN POSTAGE.
Latter and newspaper postage to Canada same as in the United States. Merchandise by mail to Canada must not ex- ceed eight ounces in weight, and the postage is 10 cents whether the package weighs one ounce or eight ounces.
Samples of merchandise for despatch inmails to foreign countries are restricted to bona fide trade samples or speci mens having no salable or commercial value in excesss of that actually necessary for their use as samples or specimens. Goods sent for sale in execution of. an order, or as gifts, how- ever small the quantity may be, are not admissable ' at sample rates and conditions.
SPECIAL DELIVERY SYSTEM.
was introduced October 1, 1885, and is now extended to all post-offices in the United States, and to all classes of mail matter. Accordingly every article of mailable matter to which s 10-cent special delivery stamp is affixed, in addition to the postage required by law, will upon its arrival by mail, have immediate delivery by a special messenger' within the carrier's limits of any free delivery post-office, or within one mile of any other post-office in the United States to which it may be addressed. A letter bearing a special delivery stamp, together with the regular postage, may be mailed at any post- office. A special delivery stamp costs 10 cents.

FEES FOR POSTAL NOTES.
Three cents for any sum up to $4.99. No larger amount can be drawn.
Money . order may be drawn upon any money ordet office in the United States for any sum not to exceed $100. For amounts larges than $100, additional orders,to make up that amount must be issued, but not more than three orders con be issued to the same remitter and in favor of the same payee in one day.
Money orders are now uniform to all foreign countries, and are 10c for $10, or any fraction thereof, for instance, less then $10 would be 10 cents; over $10 and not exceeding $20 would be 20 cents; over $20 and not exceeding $80, 30 cents, and so - on. In France and Belgium the limit for which money orders. can be drawn is $49 88, all other foreign countries the limit in $50.
