MRS. RAY (Reba) JOHNSON lives in Hagerstown, is a native of Daytona Beach, Florida, graduate of Seabreeze high school there and has an A.B. degree from Duke U. The Johnsons have two daughters. LARRY SHINN lives in Cam- bridge City, is a grad of Fountain City high school and received his B. S. and M. (S. degrees from- Ball State College. Mrs. Graver has been teaching school for 20 years, having previ- ously tnught at Henry county, Economy and Dalton. She now teaches grades five and six at Pershing.
Mr. and Mrs. Graver have three children and live at 'Rural Route 2, Cambridge City.

The following young men have organized a club to be called the Symonds Creek club, Earl Boyer, Stephen Brown, Leon Allison, Merle Allison, Louie Bridgett, Chas. Boyer, Carl Ingerman. The officers are: Earl Boyer, presi- dent; Carl Ingerman, vice presi- dent; Stephen Brown, secretary- treasurer. They have a club house now ready on the banks of the ¡ creek .... Advertisement : B & O ; Hardware, lard presses, meat grinders, butcher supplies of all kinds and good goods, too; Cnm- bridge City, Indiana . . The Lutheran church of Germantown is considering purchasing a new pipe organ ... . The sentiment in favor of paving Main street with cement is growing and from ex- pressions heard by property own- ers along that street, the indica- tions are that action in that dir- ection will be started in the early ; spring . The stores of F. H. Ohmit & Co. and Dean House were entered and robbed the other night. The only thing missing at Ohmit's was a long bar used to open boxes, which they used to pry open rear double doors at Dean House's store. There they broke open the safe, taking about $50 in silver. Nothing else was missed . ... Officers elected for the Cluster Light Boosters club are Claude S. Kitterman, presi- dent; Charles Wheeler and M. II. Cambridge City And Environs 48 Years Ago - As Told By The Local Newspapers
From the pages of the Cam- bridge City Tribune editions of December 11, 18 and 25, 1913, comes the news of the day:
It is reported that the dinky car now in service between this place and Milton is soon to be! replaced with a new double apart- ment car. A change to most any kind of car will be appreciated . The Cambridge City high school basketball team was de- feated at Hagerstown last week 36-21 Montgomery Ward, who established in Chicago the mail order house that bears his name, is dead . . . . The following are officers elected recently by the Cambridge City Natural Gas Co .: Cyrus Ferguson, president ; T. J. Miller, vice president; Ed- ward MeDonald, secretary-treas- urer; A. C. Foringer, superinten- dent . . .. The new officers of the Milton Masonie lodge are: Oliver Wallace, W.M .; Jesse Revelee, S. W .; Oscar Kirlin, J.W .; Walter Templin, secy .; Martin Brown, treas .; Chas. Wolfgang, tyler . . . . Fred Murley of Milton sold two very fine· coon dogs to a man north of Cambridge City, for which he received $45 . . . . The old National road running through Jackson township covers a dis- tance of about six miles, passing through Dublin, Mt. Auburn, Cam bridge City, East Germantown and Pennville, and the thickly set- tled country district. There seems to be a strong sentiment express- ed favorable toward the' impro- vement of this road the entire dis- tance between the east and west township lines under the so-call- ed three mile road law. While such and improvement would be costly, in the end it would prove and economical improvement . . . . The dry goods houses, the hoo! and shoe houses, the jewelry houses and the groceries of Cam- bridge City will be open every evening from Dec. IS until Christ- mas A petition signed by quite a few prominent Democrats of this place and all candidates has been forwarded to Congres I man Finly Gray, asking that he City make the recommendation for postmaster at Cambridge
