STYLE B.
DESCRIPTION.
Position A represents the Cabinet open, forming a complete sitting and standing desk, permitting a change of position when desired-a feature that will be com- mended and appreciated.
B presents it closed, converted into two complete standing desks, entirely independent of each other.
It is composed of two main sections, each of which is supported by four double- acting improved castors, and connected together by a solid wrought-iron bar-hinge in the center, which prevents the sagging or involuntary motion of any of its parts, and makes the entire structure thoroughly solid and substantial.
The desk can be instantly closed at any stage of business without removing any articles or papers from the table-a most important feature.
Its height is sufficient to secure all needed facilities without obstructing the view of the person using it.
Its PRACTICAL, INGENIOUS, CONVENIENT and SUPERIOR arrangement throughout will save its possessor much mental perplexity and a vast amount of unnecessary labor, time and money.
It is made in different sizes, styles and grades, single or double, of either walnut, oak or mahogany exterior, carved, veneered, ornamented or plain, as desired.
The interior finish is more varied, comprising the following woods, viz: pine,. linn, poplar, walnut, cherry, maple, mahogany, cedar, birch, satin and holly, French veneers or marquetry.
The hardware is of the best quality, and especially designed, in keeping and harmony with the materials and finish employed.
It is constructed by thoroughly competent and experienced mechanics, from the most carefully selected materials, and warranted in every particular.
Cased to go to any part of the world in safety.
It will answer the purposes of a life-time.
From this explanation it will be seen that the arrangement is such as to overcome the numerous objections found in desks, and to secure the essential advantages; that it can be used by one or more persons at the same time, in any position, opened or closed, and is therefore better adapted to every class of business than any other desk in the world, and any one desiring A BUSINESS DESK in its broadest signfication will act with wisdom in at least EXAMINING IT before investing
