To keep public confidence, merchants must keep faith with the public.

Most stores demonstrate good faith by advertising their offerings accurately. Incredible price reductions and un- founded superlatives ("Most of Best for Least") are not used by most advertisers. Unbelievable claims arouse sus- picion and discredit the firm that makes them.

The appearance of this In- formation Message in these columns is evidence that this publication subscribes to the principles of the Better Busi- ness Bureau, and co-operates with the Bureau in protect- ing you-even to the extent of refusing to accept the ad- vertising of firms whose ad- vertising and sales policies are proved by the Bureau
