THE OPINION OF DR. BOYNTON. As a sample of the numerous testimonials in our possession, we append tho opinion of Dr. Boynton, the celebrated lecturer on Geology, Electricity, &c.

INDIANAPOLIS, Jannary 2, 1860.

Ilaving cxamined Munson's Copper Tubular Lightning Rod with Spiral Flanges, I am free to say that it is the best Rod, by far, that I ever saw. Its chief points of superiority are, that it is Copper, which is one of the best conductors of electricity ; it is Tubular, and thus a greater surface is obtained at a smaller cost than if solid ; its Spiral Flanges stiffen the Rod, and their rough edges dissipate the electricity, and therein is much better than if the surface was smooth ; its connection is so complete that it is in effect a continuous Rod. I am fully pursua led that when it is properly creeted, it is a complete protection against the disasters produced by lightning. JOHN F. BOYNTON.
