He made several attempts to Icave Mobile for the North, but failed each time. He has a brother in New York City, one in Albany and two sisters in Washing- ton. Both his brothers were in the Union Army and were discharged on wounds re- ceived in the service. Desired to remain North. Released on Oath of Allegiance, May 17, 1865, to the U. S. Res. Albany, N.
