PREFACE.
In issuing the second volume of the ARLINGTON DIRECTORY, to which we have added BELMONT, we wish to express our gratitude to our many patrons for their orders and for the courtesies extended to our can- vassers.
Our map has been drawn by those most familiar with the town. We hope it will be found correct.
The book is a considerable larger than the last one which is ac- counted for by there being more names added. The Arlington part shows quite an increase.
We return thanks to all who have kindly furnished us with infor- mation, or aided us in any way. Our list of advertisers is larger than in our last volume which is gratifying to us. They represent the lead- ing business interests of the towns.
As these towns are fine residential sections of Boston's healthful suburbs and are growing rapidly, we think the book will be a necessity every two years.
Respectfully, EDWARD A. JONES.
