PREFACE.
E herewith present Volume Nine of the BROOKLINE BLUE BOOK. The new features introduced into the book two years ago have been appre- ciated and in this issue a large number of our patrons announce their "at home" day or "summer residence." We are very glad to publish any matter or information that will be interesting or useful to our readers. In a very few cases the information came too late for insertion.
We appreciate the orders received both from subscribers and advertisers, and trust the latter will receive a fair equivalent for their expenditure.
We issue at the same time our Suburban Blue Book which this year in- cludes the elite lists of Brookline, Newton, Cambridge and Dorchester, ma - ing over 400 pages, with a map of each place.
Very respectfully,
EDWARD A. JONES.
