PREFACE.

This makes the sixteenth volume in the series of Brookline Blue Books. It is larger than any preceding volume, showing there is an increase in the list of in- habitants.

We have taken considerable pains in canvassing to get the correct names. There will be some errors in printing, that we cannot avoid. Some informa- tion has come in too late to publish.

We have a larger list of advertisers and a greater number of subscribers than last year and we believe there are many more residents of Brookline who now know that there is but one Brookline Blue Book.

We wish to thank all those who have aided us in furnishing information of any kind in compiling the book as well as those who have courteously treated our canvassers.

We call particular attention to the announcements of our advertisers and trust they will receive a return for their expenditure.

Expecting to issue the book again next year, May Ist. We remain

Respectfully EDWARD A. JONES.
