At a legal Town Meeting on Monday, the twentieth of March at Two ( 'Clock P. M. the Comittee apointed to direct the Commit- tee of Inspection made a Report. This Committee consisted of Peter Osgood, Benjamin Stevens, John . Abbot 4th.

At a legal Meeting of the Freeholders and Others Qualified Voters of said Town on the Day above written at three O'clock P. N. Mr. Moody Bridges was chosen Moderator. Capt. Joshua Holt and Samuel Phillips Junr. were chosen a Committee with whom is instructed the appointment of the Town Watch and likewise the Duty of Individuals when call'd upon Guard.
The Town being met on Monday the 29th of May 1775 at Two O'Clock P. M. Messrs. Mehemiah Abbot and Asa Lovejoy were chosen Surveyors of Highways in the room of Col. James Frye and Thomas Abbot deceas'd.
