Commonwealth of Massachusetts
Hampden s. s.
To either of the Constables of the town of Brimfield.
Greeting :
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are hereby directed to notify and warn the inhabitants of Brimfield qualified to vote in town affairs to meet at the Town Hall, in said Brimfield, on Monday, the 7th day of February, 1916, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon to act on the following articles, viz. :
Article 1. To choose a Moderator to preside over said meeting.
Art. 2. To give in their votes on ballot to the election officers for the following Town Officers : Town Clerk, three Selectmen, Town Treasurer, Auditors, five Constables, Tree Warden, Tax Collector, all for the term of one year each. One School Committee, one Assessor, one Overseer of Poor Two Library Trustees, one Cemetery Commissioner, all for the term of three years. One Cemetery Commissioner for two years to fill vacancy.
Also to bring their vote "Yes" or "No" upon the ques- tion "Shall licenses be granted for the sale of intoxicating liquors in this town?"
The polls will be open at half past ten o'clock in the forenoon and may be closed at half past two o'clock in the afternoon.
Art. 3. To hear reports of officers and agents hereto- fore chosen by the town and act thereon.
Art. 4. To raise money for the support of Schools, highways, bridges, payment of town debts and defray the expenses for the ensuing year and direct how the same shall be expended.

Art. 5. To see if the town will vote to authorize the Treasurer with the approval of the Selectmen to borrow money in anticipation of revenue of the current financial year.
Art. 6. To determine the manner and state the terms and conditions of collecting the taxes for the ensuing year and fix the compensation of the Collector of Taxes.
Art. 7. To see if the town will authorize the Collector to use the means for collecting taxes which the Town Treasurer may use when appointed collector.
Art. 8. To see what disposition the town will make of its dog fund.
Art. 9. To see if the town will cause to be printed the reports of its officers or agents or any part of the same.
Art. 10. To see what sum of money if any, the town will appropriate for Memorial Day.
Art. 11. To see what sum of money if any, the town will raise and appropriate for the suppression of the gypsy and brown-tail moths and elm tree beetle.
Art. 12. To see what sum if any, the town will ap- propriate for the use of the Tree Warden.
Art. 13. To see what sum of money, if any, the town will appropriate for the care of the cemeteries in town.
Art. 14. To see what sum of money, if any, the town will raise and appropriate for the repairs of highways, under the State Highway Small Town Act of 1908, with amend- ments thereof.
Art. 15. To see what sum of money, if any, the town will raise and appropriate to pay the proper charges of in- surance companies, for acting as surety on official bonds of town officers.
Art. 16. To see what sum of money, if any, the town will appropriate for the care of the common.
Art. 17. To sce what sum of money, if any, the town will appropriate for the construction and repair of side- walks.
Art. 18. To see what sum of money, if any, the town

will appropriate for the suppression of illegal sale of in- toxicating liquors in town.
Art. 19. To see what action the town will take in regard to painting the iron bridges over the Quaboag. River at West Brimfield and act thereon.
Art. 20. To see what action the town will take with regard to relocating : the highway at West Brimfield from a part near the house of Daniel Haley, to a point near the house of David Legrand and act thereon.
Art. 21. To see what action the town will take to en- force the town Auditors lawful right of access to the books, accounts, bills and vouchers of the town officers and com- mittees.
Art. 22. To see if the town will vote to terminate its contract with the trustees of the Hitchcock Free Academy and to take action to recover all money due the town from the trustees under the terms of the contract.
Art. 23. To see what action the town will take to secure annual or special detailed, financial reports of the receipts, expenditures, investments and general condition of the Hitchcock Free Academy fund.
Art. 24. To see what action the town will take to se- cure a bill from Judge Kennefick for all legal and other ser- vices up to January 1st, 1916.
Art. 25. To see if the town will petition the director of the bureau of statistics for an audit of its accounts, in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 598, Acts of 1910, and amendments thereof.
Art. 26. To see what action the town will take to re- cover from the town treasurer or other officers, all sums of money that were paid out of the town Treasury for the Academy Hitchcock School during the whole or any part of the fiscal year ending December 31st, 1914, in excess of the total amount paid into the town treasury during such period from the Academy High School and by the trustees of the Hitchcock Free Academy.
Art. 27. To see if the town will appropriate a sum of money to be expended for club work in the Public schools

under the direction of the Hampden County Improvement League or act thereon.
Art. 28. To see what sum of money, if any, the town will appropriate for the maintenance of the Vocational Agri- cultural department of the High School.
Art. 29. To see if the town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money for the care of its shade trees, and the planting of desirable shade trees along the high- ways for the ensuing year, same to be expended under the directions of the Tree Warden.
Art. 30. To see what action the town will take in re- gard to selling the Town Farm wood lot in Wales.
And you are directed to serve this warrant by posting an attested copy of the same at the Town Hall, one at Cen- ter Post Office and by mailing a copy to the Post Office at East Brimfield and by mailing, or otherwise sending a copy, to Foskett's Mills and the depot at West Brimfield seven days at least before the time of holding said meeting
Hereof fail not and make due return of this warrant with your doings thereon to the Town Clerk of said Brim- field at the time and place of meeting aforesaid.
