TOWN WARRANT.


BRISTOL SS. To Wm. A. Macdonald, or either of the Constables of the Town of Attleborough in said County, Greeting :


In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts . you are hereby directed to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Attleborough, qualified to vote in elections and town affairs, to meet in Agricultural HIall in said Attleborough, on Monday, March the 20th, 1876, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon, then and there to act on the fol- lowing articles :


1st. To choose a Moderator to preside at said meeting.


2d. To consider and act upon the reports of the Selectmen, Treasurer, and other town officers.


3d. To determine the number that shall constitute the Board of Selectmen, Assessors, Overseers of Poor, School Committee and Constables the ensuing year.


4th. To bring in their votes for Town Clerk, Selectmen, Assessors, Overseers of Poor, Treasurer and School Committee, all on one ballot.


5th. To bring in their votes for one Road Commissioner, and Constables, on one ballot.


6th. To choose all other town officers.


7th. To see if the town will accept the Jury List as revised by the Selectmen.


8th. To see if the town will instruct the Prudential Commit- tees in the school districts to contract with teachers.


9th. To determine the salaries and compensation of town officers.

10th. To see if the town will appropriate the sum of $150.00 to be expended by G. A. R. Post No. 145, in decorating the graves of those Soldiers and Sailors of the Republic who are buried within the limits of this town.


11th. To see if the town will appropriate the sum of $150.00 to be expended by G. A. R. Post No. 133, in decorating the graves of Soldiers and Sailors of the Republic who are buried within the limits of this town.


12th. To see what disposition the town will make of the Dog Fund reported in the hands of the Treasurer.


13th. To see if town will raise money by assessment or other- wise, to pay State Aid, in anticipation of reimbursement from the State as provided by the Statute.


14th. To see if the town will instruct the Selectmen to con- tract with one or more physicians to attend the town's poor the ensuing year.


15th. To determine how much money the town will appro- priate for the support of the common or district schools, and how the same shall be divided and apportioned to the several districts.


16th. To see how much money the town will appropriate for the support of High Schools.


17th. To see how much money the town will appropriate for the support of paupers.


18th. To determine how much money the town will appropri. ate for the repairs of highways and bridges.


19th. To determine how much money the town will appro- priate for Current and Incidental Expenses.


20th. To determine how much money the town will appro- priate to reduce the town debt.


21st. To see if the town will vote to allow James W. Riley, T. H. Daggett, I. C. Brainard, F. Lord, W. A. Sylvester, F. E. Horton, Wm. Ward, O. McCourt, John Tracy, George G. Price, P. McGee, A. J. Richardson, M. Donlon, G. F. Keith, to be set off from the Union Improvement District and Fire District No. 1, North Attleborough, or do or act anything in relation there- to, agreeable to a petition.

22d. To see if the town will vote to set off thie poll and estate of James M. Richards from School District No. 1 into School District No. 4, agreeable to petition.


23d. To see if the town will vote to name that portion of the Norfolk and Bristol County Turnpike (so called) lying within the limits of the town, Washington street.


24th. To see if the town will vote to build one or more school houses for the benefit of the High Schools, agreeable to a peti- tion.


25th. To see if the town will instruct the Road Commission- ers to remove the obstructions from Park and Pleasant streets in Attleboronghi, agreeable to a petition.


26th. To see what action the town will take to ascertain what rights, if any, the town has in the Falls Factory Water Privilege in the aforesaid town.


27th. To see if the town will vote to reimburse Henry Rich- ardson the sum of Two Hundred and Eighty-six 54-100 dollars, said sum being costs of law suit and land damage, on road near Central Church, at Falls Village.
