REPORT OF THE BOARD OF HEALTH.
The Board was organized on the 1st of May by the election of Richard Carroll as Chairman, and the appointment of I. H. Stearns as Secretary and Physician.
The rules adopted were published for five months in the Milford Journal.
All the cases causing complaint which were brought to our attention, were remedied by a compliance with the directions given, without resort to legal measures.
. No infectious or contagious disease has prevailed in town the past year. Indeed, Milford is one of the most healthy locations in Massachusetts, being at all times remarkably free from fevers and the diseases peculiar to New England; our high altitude rendering the town a desirable place of residence, where health- fulness is a consideration.
Respectfully submitted,
Signed, RICHARD CARROLL, Chairman, JOHN MADDEN, 2d, I. H. STEARNS,
Secretary and Physician.
