TOWN WARRANT.


Commonwealth of Massachusetts.


HAMPDEN SS.


To PARKER W. WEBSTER, Constable of the Town of Palmer, Greeting :


In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directed to notify and warn all the inhabitants of the Town of Palmer, qualified to vote in elections and town affairs, to meet at the Town Hall, in said Palmer, on Monday, the eighteenth day of March inst., at nine o'clock A. M., to act on the following articles, viz :-


ART. 1. To choose a Moderator to preside in said meeting.


2. To choose all necessary Town Officers for the year ensuing.


3. To act on the Annual Reports of the Selectmen, School Com- mittee, Overseers of the Poor, and other officers of the Town.


4. To see if the Town will increase the number of the School Committee.


5. To see if the Town will vote to instruct the School Commit- tee to appoint a Superintendent of the Town Schools, and establish his salary.


6. To see if the Town will authorize each school district to choose their own Prudential Committee.


7. To see if the Town will authorize the Prudential Committees to select, and contract with the School Teachers for their respective districts.


8. To raise such sums of money as may be necessary to pay State and County taxes, for the support of Schools, for the support of Highways and Bridges, and all other Town charges for the ensu- ing year, and make appropriations of the same.

9. To see if the Town will raise any money, and appropriate the same, to liquidate or reduce the debts of the Town.


10. To determine the manner of repairing the Highways and Bridges the ensuing year.


11. To see what course the Town will take to collect the taxes that may be assessed the year ensuing.


12. To revise the list of Jurors.


13. To choose Committees and give them instructions.


And you are hereby required to serve this warrant by posting up attested copies thereof at the different public places designated by vote of the Town, eight days at least before the holding of said meeting. Hereof fail not, and make due return of this warrant. with your doings thereon, to the Town Clerk, on or before the time of said meeting.
