Selectmens' Report.
SCHOOLS AND SCHOOL-HOUSES.
The School Committee having full control of all school matters we can only report their estimate. For Schools $9,500, and $1,350 for School-houses, for the current year.
SERVICES OF TOWN OFFICERS.
Judging from the amount required to meet the bills for the year past, we would suggest the sum of $2,000 be ap- propriated.
STATE AID.
The amount necessary for the coming year is uncertain, but should recommend the sum of $1,500.
TOWN HOUSE.
We should recommend the sum of $700 for the coming year, as it may be used often by the Reform Club in the Temperance movement, which we hail with delight; it being vital to our young men and to the peace and quietude of all citizens throughout the community. Let all the people help in this work.
HAY SCALES.
It is evident that the wood and iron work of the Scales must be thoroughly rebuilt and repaired to be in condition to weigh correctly ; and there should be a drain of sufficient size and descent to carry all the water that floods the pit under them.
