Warrant for the Annual Town Meeting.


To Oscar Cram, Constable of the Town of Middleton, in the County of Essex,


Greeting :


In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. you are directed to notify the inhabitants of the Town of Middle- ton, qualified to vote in elections and in town affairs. to meet at the Town Hall in said Town, on MONDAY. the Fourth Day of March next, at nine o'clock in the forenoon, then and there to act on the following articles :


ART. I. To choose a Moderator to preside at said meet- ing.


ART. 2. To choose all necessary town officers for the year ensuing.


ART. 3. To see how much money the town will raise to defray town charges the ensuing year, and make appro- priations of the same.


ART. 4. To see how much money the town will raise to support schools the ensuing year.


ART. 5. To see how much money the town will raise to repair roads and bridges the ensuing year. and determine how the same shall be appropriated.


ART. 6. To act on a list of jurors, prepared and posted by the Selectmen.


ART. 7. To see what action the town will take concern- ing the cemetery.


ART. 8. To see what action the town will take in rela- tion to letting the Town Hall.


ART. 9. To see if the town will authorize the Collector to use all means of collecting the taxes which the Town Treasurer may use when appointed Collector.


ART. 10. To see if the town will authorize the Treasurer, under the direction of the Selectmen, to hire such sums of money in anticipation of the taxes, as may be necessary to meet current expenses.


ART. II. To see if the town will vote to purchase hose, and provide a suitable place for keeping the same.

ART. 12. To see what action the town will take in re- lation to those travellers called tramps.


ART. 13. To hear and act on the report of the commit- tee chosen to ascertain the best method of supplying the centre school with water.


And you are directed to serve this warrant by posting at- tested copies thereof. one at the Town Hall, and one at the Post Office in said town, seven days at least before holding said meeting.


Hereof fail not, and make due return of this warrant. with your doings thereon, to the Town Clerk at the time and place of meeting as aforesaid.
