FLINT PUBLIC LIBRARY.
The Trustees of Flint Public Library herewith present their Eighth Annual Report.
We have little to offer in addition to what has been said in previous years.
We are convinced that our library contains a rich fund of information and are pleased to notice that some of our young people are developing a taste for substantial read- ing.
The large number of books which was added to the Library in the early part of the year, the gift of our generous friend, Hon. C. L. Flint, contained not only the books purchased by the appropriation of his annual gift of one hundred dollars, but also a number of valuable books selected by himself, including a fine set of works on Natural History, and a set of books containing a copy of the early Records of Boston.
We shall, as soon as possible, expend the recent gift of another one hundred dollars from our benefactor, and would ask those interested in our Library to assist in the selection of new books, by sending to the Trustees a list of books from which to select.
