advantages afforded by the use of books in the Library, particu- larly books of science, travels and general literature, and books of reference.

Transient residents often express themselves as very grateful for the Library privileges afforded them.

New books will be purchased soon and will be ready for deliv- ery as early as practicable.

The Reading Room is increasingly patronized, and we are for- tunate in being able to have a good selection of reading matter on our table.

The clock which has been placed on the mantle in the Reading Room is a pleasing and useful addition to our conveniences. The Dolgeville Herald is furnished us throughthe courtesy of Mr. W. S. Armstrong.

The following periodicals will be received during the year 1895: Century, Forum, New England Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Life, Public Opinion, Harper's Weekly, Munsey's Magazine, Review of Reviews, St. Nicholas, Scribner's Magazine, Youth's Companion.

Respectfully submitted,
