STATEMENT OF CEMETERY COMMITTEE.
The Committee appointed by the town at the last annual meeting, would state that they have not been enabled to do as much as they could have wished in improving and ornamenting the ground, for the want of funds.
No appropriation having been made by the town other than the sale of lots, they did not feel warranted in making any great outlay.
Seven lots have been disposed of during the year, amounting to eighty dollars-most of them at the latter part of the season.
The Selectmen comprising this committee have been obliged to bring the account in, with those of the treasurer of the town, which you will see by his report.
The account now stands as follows :
CEMETERY, DR.
Cash received for sale of lots $75 00
Cash uncollected from sale of lots 67 00
$142 00
S
CEMETERY, CR
Cash paid balance due secretary $52 00
Cash paid John Lane for labor, 28 50
Cash paid S. C. Pitman for trees,
31 00
Balance in favor of Cemetery,
30 50
$142 00
SAMUEL C. PITMAN, Chairman.
The committee have examined all the accounts that have come be- fore them and find them properly vouched for.
Respectfully submitted, WILLIAM WIDGER, S. H. WARDWELL, Auditing Com. JOSEPH STANLEY.
