REPORT OF THE AUDITING COMMITTEE.
To the Inhabitants of the Town of Swampscott : -
The Auditing Committee, in discharge of their duty, have the honor to submit their thirteenth annual report of the receipts and expenditures, and a schedule of the property belonging to the town.
The total amount of bills paid during the year, was $27,519.57, including outstanding bills of the previous year, as follows, viz :-

The Assessors' valuation of estates in the town, May 1, 1864, was as follows : - Real estate, $754,316.00 ; personal estate, $219,445.00. Number of polls, 363. Tax assessed, $12,700- .96-including State tax, $2,808.00 ; County tax, $1,167.90.
