TOWN MEETING.
Contents of Warrant for town meeting to be held at the town house on Monday. the twenty-sixth day of March next. at nine o'clock A.M. :
ART. 1. To choose a moderator to preside in said meeting.
ART. 2. To choose all necessary town officers.
ART. 3. To raise and appropriate such sums of money as may be necessary to defray town charges and payment of debt and interest the ensuing year.
ART. 4. To determine the manner of repairing the highways. and decide the compensation of labor thereon.
ART. 5. To decide when taxes shall become due. and whether any interest shall be charged after a certain date.
ART. 6. To see what pay the town will vote the treasurer and collector and other town officers.
ART. 7. To see if the town will instruct the treasurer to bor- bow money under the direction of the selectmen, if found neces- >ary, in anticipation of taxes the ensuing year.
ART. S. To see if the town will accept the jury list as pre- pared by the selectmen.
ART. 9. To see if the town will accept the report of the selectmen.
ART. 10. To see if the town will vote to make the vards of field-drivers town pounds. provided they also be chosen pound- keepers.
ART. II. To bring in their ballots. Yes or No, upon the ques- tion. Shall license be granted in this town for the sale of intox- icating liquors?
ART. 12. To see if the town will allow the Woman's Christian

Temperance Union of Carver the use of the upper room in the town house in which to hold their meetings, provided the care of the same shall be of no expense to the town. (Petition of P. Jane Barrows and twenty others. )
ART. 13. To see if the town will vote to make an exchange of real estate as follows: To exchange with John F. Shaw a parcel of land from the north end of district No. 4 schoolhouse lot for a parcel of land on the south of said lot of equal dimen- sions and value. (Petition of Samuel B. Briggs and others. )
ART. 14. To see if the town will vote to let the Town Hall for public meetings, entertainments, &c. (Petition of F. W. Shaw and others. )
ART. 15. To see if the town of Carver will raise and appro- priate one hundred dollars for the prosecution of illegal selling of liquor in said town. (Petition of William S. McFarlin and others.)
ART. 16. To see if the town will vote to make a special ap- propriation of two hundred dollars to be used on the high- way between the place known as the Shoe String Village and the Plymouth line the present year. (Petition of William F. Stan- ley and others.
