The town has on hand one five ton wagon scales : 3.000 feet of lumber, 75 tons of crashed stone, one water tank, and tools, etc., the whole valued $200.00.
Gentlemen :- We think it advisable to build more state road the coming season, if you do not build again for five years, as the expense of moving the crusher plant each year is very ex- pensive and to set scales and platform with all necessities which
-30-
are required for this business. The crusher plant is now set and can build another half mile as it remains now.
This season we found the plant in very poor condition and had to buy repairs and castings at the expense of $100 before we could crush stone. We have had to hire a water cart from the town of Halifax for three seasons at the expense of $10 per season. This season we have had one built that ans- wers all requirements for this business.
