During the year twenty-two persons have received full or partial sup- port. Out of this number three have been committed to the State Lunatic Hospital, at Worcester, for treatment and custody, at an average weekly cost of three dollars twenty-five cents each, beside clothing, viz. :

Whole number of children in town between the ages of 5 and 15, as ascertained by the assessors, was 133.


The Committee have exchanged Arithmetics within the year, at a nominal expense of $43.66 ; although the actual expense is little or noth- ing, as every scholar now has a new book in place of the old one.


Repairs have been made on the school houses to the amount of $120.00, the West school house having been thoroughly repaired.
