TOWN WARRANT
COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS
WORCESTER, SS.
To either of the constables of the town of Oakham, in the County of Worcester,
GREETING :
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are required to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Oakham qualified to vote in elections and in town affairs, to meet at the Town Hall, known as "Memorial Hall," on Monday, the third day of February next, at nine 219 o'clock in the forenoon, then and there to act on the fol- lowing articles :
Article 1st. To choose a Moderator to preside at all town meetings except for the election of State Officers, during the coming year.
Article 2d. To hear the annual report of the several town officers, and act thereon.
Article 3d. To choose one Selectman, one Assessor, one Overseer of Poor, one School Committee, one Library Trustee, one Cemetery Committee for three years, one. Cemetery Committee for two years to fill vacancy, Col- lector of Taxes, Treasurer, Auditor, Tree Warden, High- way Surveyor, three Fence Viewers, six Constables; also

to vote "Yes" or "No" in answer to the question : "Shall license for the sale of intoxicating liquors be granted in the town " all on one ballot. The polls will be opened at ten o'clock in the forenoon and may be closed at two o'clock in the afternoon.
Article 4th. To choose all necessary town officers and committees for the ensuing year. not required to be elected by ballot.
Article 5th. To see what compensation the town will allow the Selectmen, Treasurer, Collector, Auditor and Constables for the ensuing year.
Article 6th. To see what compensation the town will allow for men and teams in repairing highways and open- ing roads for the ensuing year.
Article 7th. To see if the town will raise and appro- priate a sum of money to bond their Treasurer and Col- lector.
Article : th. To raise such sums of money as may be necessary to defray town charges for the ensuing year, and make appropriation for the same.
Article 9th. To see what sum of money the town will raise and appropriate for the relief of poor and needy sol- diers, as required under Chapter 79. Section 18, of the Revised Laws.
Article 10th. To see if the town will authorize the Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, to borrow during the current financial year, in anticipation of the revenue of said year, such sums of money as may be neces- sary for the current expenses of the town, giving the note or notes of the town therefor, payable within one year from date of note therefor, these notes to be paid from the revenue of said financial year.

Article 11th. To see if the town will appoint some per- son as agent, to prosecute and defend all suits that may be brought for or against the town in the ensuing year.
Article 12th. To see if the town will employ some person or persons to care for the Town Hall, Town Clock and Library Building for the ensuing year.
Article 13th. To see what sum the town will raise and appropriate for the suppression of the browntail moth.
Article 14th. To see if the town will raise and appro- priate a sum of money to light the street lights for the en- suing year.
Article 15th. To see if the town will vote to insure their employees, and make an appropriation for the same. or pass any vote relative thereto.
Article 16th. To see if the town will raise and appro- priate a sum of money to paper and paint the interior of the Town Hall, hallways, and Selectmen's room, or pass any vote relative thereto.
Article 17th. To see if the town will raise and appro- priate a sum of money to buy a town flag, or pass any vote relative thereto.
Article 18th. To see if the town will raise and appro- priate a sum of money to repair the old flag pole or buy a new one.
Article 19th. To see if the town will accept Chapter 23, General Acts of 1917, entitled "An act to provide for the licensing of coffee houses, so called.
Article 20th. To see if the town will accept Chapter 254, General Acts 1917, entitled "An act to authorize cities and towns to pay their employees who enlist in the service of the United States the difference between their military and their municipal compensation.

Article 21st. To see if the town will raise and appro- priate a certain sum of money to paint the outside of the town hall, or pass any vote relative thereto.
Article 22d. To see if the town will raise and appro- priate a certain sum of money to pay one-fourth the cost of painting the outside of the church, or pass any vote relative thereto.
Article 23d. To see if the town will withdraw from the Charlton Poor Farm Association, or pass any vote rel- ative thereto.
Article 24th. To see if the town will raise and appro- priate a certain sum of money to have its real estate re- valued or pass any vote relative thereto.
And you are directed to serve this warrant by posting up three attested copies in public places in said town seven days at least before time of holding said meeting.
Hereof fail not, and make due return of this warrant, with your doings thereon, to the Town Clerk, at the time and place of meeting as aforesaid.
Given under our hands this thirteenth day of January, in the year one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.

Report of Charlton Poor Farm Association
For the Year Ending December 31, 1918.
The annual report of the receipts and expenditures of the Association are hereby presented. The purchasing of addi- tional stock, a pair of horses, a wood sawing outfit, gasoline engine, and ensilage cutter cost the Association over $1000, which have been paid for out of this year's receipts. The services of Mr. and Mrs. Carl M. Wheeler have been retained for another year.
