COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS
Worcester, ss.
To either of the Contables of the Town of Oakham, in the County of Worcester,
Greeting :
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are required to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Oakham qualified to vote in elections and in town affairs, to meet at the Town Hall, known as "Mem- orial Hall." on Monday, the sixth day of February next, at nine o'clock in the forenoon, then and there to act on the following articles :
Article 1st. To choose a Moderator to preside at all town meetings except for the election of State Officers, during the coming year.
Article 2d. - To hear the annual report of the several town officers, and act thereon.
Article 3d. To choose one Selectman, one Assessor, one Overseer of Poor, one School Committee, one Libra- ry Trustee. one Cemetery Committee for three years, Assessor for one year. Collector of Taxes, Treasurer, Auditor, Tree Warden, six Constables, shall licenses be granted for the sale of non-intoxicating beverages in this town. all on one ballot."The polls will be opened at ten o'clock in the forenoon and may be closed at two o'clock in the afternoon.

. Article 4th. To choose all necessary town officers and committees for the ensuing year, not required to be elected by ballot.
Article 5th. To see what compensation the town will allow the Selectmen, Treasurer, Collector, Auditor and Constables for the ensuing year.
Article 6th. To see what compensation the town will allow for men and teams in repairing highways and opening roads for the ensuing year.
Article 7th. To see if the town will raise and appro- priate a sum of money to bond their Treasurer and Col- lector.
Article 8th. To raise such sums of money as may be necessary to defray town charges for the ensuing year, and make appropriations for the same.
Article 9th. To see what sum of money the town will raise and appropriate for the relief of poor and needy soldiers, as required under Chapter 79, Section 18, of the Revised Laws.
Article 10th. To see if the town will authorize the Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, to bor- row during the current financial year, in anticipation of the revenue of said year, such sums of moneys as may be necessary for the current expenses of the town, giv- ing the note or notes of the town therefor, payable with- in one year from date of note therefor, these notes to be paid from the revenue of said financial year. .

Article 11th. To see if the town will appoint some person as agent, to prosecute and defend all suits that may be brought for or against the town in the ensuing year.
Article 12th. To see if the town will employ some person or persons to care for the Town Hall. Town Clock, and Library Building for the ensuing year.

Article 13th. To see what sum the town will raise and appropriate for the suppression of the browntail moth.
Article 14th. To see if the town will raise and ap- propriate a sum of money to light the street lights for the ensuing year.
Article 15th. To see if the town will vote to insure their employes, and make an appropriation for the same, or pass any vote relative thereto.
Article 16th. To see if the town will raise and ap- propriate a certain sum of money to put a new floor in the town hall.
Article 17th. To see if the town will accept $50.00 from the Grange towards a new floor in the town hall.
Article 18th. To hear the report of the electric light committee and to see what further action the town will take in regard to obtaining electric lights.
Article 19th. To see if the town will raise and ap- propriate a certain sum of money to buy fire extinguish- ers or pass any vote relative thereto.
Article 20th. To see if the town will vote to sell its fire wagon or pass any vote relative thereto.
And you are directed to serve this warrant by posting up three attested copies in public places in said town seven. davs at least before time of holding said meeting.
Hereof fail not. and make due return of this warrant, with your doings thereon. to the Town Clerk, at the time and place of meeting as aforesaid.
Given under our hands this seventeenth day of Janu- ary, in the year, one thousand nine hundred and twenty- two.

LIBRARIAN'S REPORT
During the past year the library has been open to the public 102 days.
The circulation for home use has been 2825, an increase over the circulation of last year.
The largest number charged in one day was 57.
The public schools have made good use of the library the teachers being permitted to take as many books at a time as desired for use in the schools.
The growing interest in the readng room is noticeable.
On the table are found the American Boy, Etude, Country Gentleman, Illustrated World, Popular Mechan- ics, Physical Culture, Ladies' Home Journal, Youth's Companion. Christian Endeavor World, Good House- keeping, National Geographic, Today's Housewife, Our Dumb Animals, Successful Farming. Barre Gazette, and Worcester Telegram.
We are indebted for the loan of books, to the Woman's Education Association, the Worcester Public Library and the Yale Library, New Haven.
Gifts have been received from Mrs. Celia E. Fobes. Mrs. Harriet Gifford, Henry Ford, Estate of Miss J. H. O. Lovell. Y. P. S. C. E. of the Congregational Church, State Library Commission, Justin E Rawson, Gardner Boyd. I. N. Munroe, and Walter A. Woodis.
