IN MEMORIAM

EDWIN GREEN Born April 12, 1854, Died Dec. 1, 1932

Served as a member of the Cemetery Committee 1922 to Dec. 1, 1932 ; Served as Superintendent of Yards from 1904 to Dec. 1, 1932.

It is with a great deal of regret that we now must realize that the sincere, courteous and economical services of Edwin Green as superintendent of the cemeteries has been terminated by our su- preme creator. The present commendable condition of our burial grounds in this rural district is because he had their appearance at heart during all times. He worked diligently, endeavoring to create pleasant surroundings and impressive monuments for those to ob- serve, who might from time to time, journey to view the last rest- ing place of their beloved ones. This temporal picture we now look upon will be a perpetual remembrance of his integrity and prudence in the tasks he undertook in the Oakham cemeteries.
