We, the undersigned, a Committee chosen by the town at her last annual meeting, to rectify a mistake concerning Nathan Walker's note, and place the same in proper shape on the Treasurer's book, have this day examined the subject and find that in the settlement of the Treasurer with the town, Jan. 13th, 1875, he, the Treasurer, credited the town

with cash on hand, $3336 99, and this sum included Nathan Walker's note of $560, thus making the amount the private property of the Treasurer; since then there has been paid on said note, sums of money sufficient to reduce the amount due on the note to $290 44, including interest, to this date, and the Committee authorize, as far as they have power to authorize, and at least recommend that the Treasurer, this day, charge the town with the balance due on the uote, $290 44, and hold said note as town's re- sources, reporting the same at our next annual meeting.
